For me composition is like the joy of weaving a silk carpet. My job is giving life to it. After finding the inspiration and structure of the piece I spend a lot of time going through every note; colouring it with my imagination; I dream about it; I live with it; I become the thread; until it is completed and becomes a song.

When the piece is finished, it is up to the listener to use this carpet as they wish: of course it is a great joy and honour if anyone connects to the depth of my world.

I have produced a range of compositions, including for piano, flute, duet, and trio. I have also arranged Iranian folk music for voice, daf and piano. Since 2017 I have been composing pieces for orchestra as part of my ‘Zal and Phoenix’ project.
